After delaying its release from 2018, Sega will be revealing more information about their Mega Drive Mini at Sega Fes 2019.
It has been almost a year since Sega announced that they would be releasing a Mega Drive Mini, a retro plug-and-play console similar to the SNES Mini. While it was originally slated for a 2018 release, they decided to delay the launch to 2019. This was done due to new plans to create special models (i.e. Genesis) for the US and UK, and subsequently have a worldwide release.
According to the schedule published on their website, Sega will hold a 40-minute event on the first day of Sega Fes (30th March) discussing the Mega Drive Mini. Here’s hoping the discussion includes a release date!
