My Nintendo Store Has Started Showing Switch 2 Compatibility Info For Switch Games On Product Pages

It appears that the My Nintendo Store website in Japan has been updated with a small addition on its product pages.

Below the purchase/download button of all Nintendo Switch product pages, a section called “Compatibility with Nintendo Switch 2” has been added. By checking this section, you will be able to tell whether a Nintendo Switch game is compatible with Nintendo Switch 2.

There are several versions of this section, depending on how the game runs on Nintendo Switch 2:

  • A blue tick indicates that no issues with the game were found during basic compatibility testing. Text below the section may indicate whether or not an update is required to run the game on Switch 2, as well as  difference(s) in gameplay behavior on Switch 2, if any.
  • An exclamation mark in an orange diamond indicates that issues were found in basic compatibility testing.
  • A cross in a red square indicates that the game is not compatible with Switch 2

We can safely assume that this new section will also be available on both the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch 2 and My Nintendo Store websites in other regions, as updates like these are usually rolled out on a global basis.
