By now, basketball fans will no doubt know about the unfortunate passing of Kobe Bryant – after he was caught in a terrible helicopter crash on Sunday. As the world mourns the sports star, NBA 2K20 players will also be able to commemorate his life in-game.
2K Games have released a new update that adds a new tribute image into the game, as seen above. Players will first see it when they start up the game after the update, and the same image will also pop-up on billboards throughout NBA 2K20’s MyPlayer online hub (i.e. “The Neighborhood”).
Likewise, 2K Games posted their own tribute to Bryant on social media.
It’s definitely a dark day for Kobe Bryant fans out there – but at least people will be able to remember him fondly, whether they enjoy sports games or not.
