In the last few weeks, Shaggy from Scooby-Doo returned to the spotlight after the Ultra Instinct Shaggy meme, a meme about how powerful Shaggy is, went viral on the Internet.
As Warner Bros. Entertainment owns the Scooby-Doo franchise and Mortal Kombat series, fans of both tried their luck in persuading the company to add Shaggy into Mortal Kombat 11 as a playable character.
NetherRealm, the studio in charge of developing Mortal Kombat 11, has shut down all hopes of that happening. Here is what NetherRealm community manager Tyler Lansdown has to say:
“Shaggy will not be in the game. At all. Ever. Sorry, dead meme.”
