A few weeks ago, Nintendo shared a new Japanese trailer for the Switch Online Expansion Pack, sparking hope that Pokemon Stadium would soon support Pokemon transfers due to the removal of a disclaimer stating that “Pokemon Cannot Be Transferred To These Games”
Unfortunately, it seems that celebrations may have been a bit premature. In the latest trailer for the expansion pack released by Nintendo Of America, the line stating that “Pokemon Cannot Be Transferred To These Games” is still present in the Pokemon Stadium portion of the video. The only changes seem to be the inclusion of footage from Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games, which were recently added to the service.
The fact that the line is still present in the new trailer casts doubt on the theory that transfers were being added to Pokemon Stadium, and by extension, the theory that classic Pokemon games would soon be added to the service at the same time. Although it does not rule out the possibility entirely, it at the very least suggests that these potential additions are not coming any time soon, if at all. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
