In the latest Pokemon GO update, dataminers discovered a new system called player reputations.
Player reputations is an in-game client side tool created to counter spoofers and cheaters. Players can be either marked as a bot or spoofer with the use of this tool.
Another concept, called “repeat reputation”, was found in the next few lines of code. We should be seeing some changes to how Niantic deals with cheaters as soon as the next update hits.
