Nintendo Discontinuing Sale Of Switch, Switch Lite, And Switch OLED In Europe From Mid-February 2027

Nintendo has announced they will be discontinuing the sale of the original Switch in Europe.

From Mid-February 2027, Nintendo will no longer be selling the Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED from the Nintendo Store in Europe. These units will continue to be manufactured throughout 2026, and may still be available at retail stores while stocks last.

This info was shared in a broader notice about the upcoming battery-revisions to several Nintendo products to comply with EU regulations. Presumably, Nintendo decided that there was little point in preparing a replaceable battery version of the outdated original Switch, and decided to simply stop selling it in Europe entirely.
