[UPDATE] Nintendo Employee Data Reportedly Hacked

Nintendo has reportedly suffered another data breach.

According to a report from TechNadu, a hacker going by SHADOWBYT3$ has claimed to have stolen 859 MB worth of data from Nintendo. This data was obtained from TINYpulse, a platform used by Nintendo to log employee engagement and workplace feedback. The hacker claims to have accessed Nintendo’s TINYpulse data to obtain “employee names, email addresses, analytics reports, W-9 forms, bank statement PDFs, and workplace feedback”.

The data breach occurred on June 13th 2026, and the hacker demanded a ransom payment of 2 million dollars within 48 hours or they would leak the data. At the time of this writing, it seems Nintendo has yet to comment on these claims.

[UPDATE]: Nintendo has issued a statement regarding the breach as follows:

“We are aware of an issue involving TinyPulse, a third-party service used for internal employee surveys at Nintendo of America. Nintendo’s systems have not been compromised, and no personal customer or financial data has been accessed. The data involved is limited to internal survey content comprising a small subset of our employees, and most of the information dates back several years.”

“We appreciate our employees’ willingness to share their perspectives, take all feedback seriously, and take action when needed. We are working with the service provider to address the issue.”
