Nintendo has published the Q&A session for the 6 months ending September 30, 2019.
During the Q&A, an investor asked whether Nintendo has any plans to reduce the price of the Nintendo Switch in the next two years. Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa said the company has no plans to drop the price of the Nintendo Switch, as the company wants to sell the Nintendo Switch family of systems at their current prices “as long as possible”.
Concerning profitability, Furukawa says the company does not anticipate any way to reduce their manufacturing costs for Switch hardware in the near future. Nintendo will continue to work on selling as many Nintendo Switch systems as possible.
