Bad news for gamers living in Russia – Nintendo of Russia is increasing prices for Nintendo Switch consoles and accessories in the market.
This month, the suggested retail price (SRP) for a pair of Joy-Con increased from 5500RUB (USD87) to 7000RUB (USD110), a staggering 20% increase. Nintendo Switch Pro Controller saw similar price increases from 4500RUB (USD71) to 6000RUB (USD102).
Today’s recently announced Nintendo Switch Lite wasn’t spared either, as the console will retail for a whopping 16,500RUB (USD260) in Russia, about USD60 more than the SRP in the US. Ironically, some Russian retailers are offering the more expensive Nintendo Switch at a heavily discounted price below the Switch Lite’s SRP.
