Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa Says Switch Success Will Not Affect Plans For New Hardware

During Nintendo’s latest investor Q&A, the company’s president Shuntaro Furukawa responded to a question asking if the Switch’s performance will affect the launch of new hardware. While he declined to give specifics, he did confirm that their “other businesses” would not affect their plans for new hardware, as it is something Nintendo plans carefully in advance.

Furthermore, concerning the preparation of new hardware which takes a long time, it is something that we want to properly plan and proceed with, thus our other businesses (Nintendo Switch, mobile, etc) do not affect our plans for new hardware.
