Nintendo Remained Fourth Most-Viewed Gaming Brand On TV During September 2019

Following its fall from the top spot previously, looks like Nintendo will be going a little slower on advertising for now.

According to VentureBeat, Nintendo remained in fourth place in terms of TV ad impressions during September 2019. Namely, Xbox came out on top with an insane 1.1 billion ad impressions, while 2K Games (357.7 million ad impressions) and EA Sports (295.9 million ad impressions) trailed behind in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

While falling behind, Nintendo was no slouch either – netting around 210.1 million ad impressions in comparison. You can check out more details below.

  • Nintendo aired seven commercials that ran over 1,300 times, spending around an estimated $3.4 million.
  • Advert with the biggest airing budget (est. $1.1 million) was “How We Play: Mario Kart 8” for the Switch
  • High levels of spend on networks including Nick, Cartoon Network, and Teen Nick
  • Appeared during programs such as SpongeBob SquarePants, The Loud House, and Teen Titans Go!

We’ll report back when more TV ad statistic emerge in two weeks’ time. Stay tuned!
