It looks like Nintendo’s presence in the world of TV advertising continued on a slower burn throughout last month.
According to VentureBeat, Nintendo remained the second most-viewed gaming brand on television during the length of June 2020. After taking first place two weeks before, Sony stayed on top thanks to its larger spending on ads for The Last of Us Part II.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown for Nintendo:
- 175.3 million TV ad impressions generated by 14 adverts that ran over 1,400 times
- Nintendo spent the most on the ad “My Way to Play: Let’s Get Into It” (below) – at an estimated $457,716
- Nintendo prioritized ads on shows like SpongeBob SquarePants, The Loud House, and iCarly
- Top networks included Nick, Teen Nick, and Cartoon Network
