Nintendo Japan has published their yearly summary of the most downloaded Switch games of 2023.
According to Nintendo Japan’s official page, the most downloaded Switch game of 2023 was none other than Suika Game, the viral hit puzzle game from Aladdin X. This achievement is especially surprising given that the game was barely on anyone’s radar until a few weeks ago, yet it managed to come out ahead of more widely acclaimed titles.
Indeed, Nintendo’s own masterpieces The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder came in at 2nd and 4th place respectively, while the long-awaited Pikmin 4 placed 3rd. Rounding things out at number 5 is Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, the brand new entry in the popular monster-catching Dragon Quest spinoff.
