Nintendo Switch 2 Is Backward Compatible With 98.88% Of Third-Party Switch Titles

Nintendo has updated the official backward compatibility list for Nintendo Switch titles running on Nintendo Switch 2.

According to the latest update on June 5, 2025, 98.88% of all third-party Nintendo Switch titles (over 15,000 titles released worldwide) have passed basic compatibility testing, have received updates to fix issues on Switch 2, or will receive updates to run on Nintendo Switch 2.

This is an impressive feat, considering the vast library of Nintendo Switch titles.

Here is a breakdown of Switch titles with issues running on Nintendo Switch 2:

• 6 titles are not compatible with Nintendo Switch 2
• 162 titles have issues discovered during basic compatibility testing, and Nintendo is discussing with the publishers of these titles
• 185 titles have received updates or will receive updates to run on Switch 2
