As you all know, the Tencent China Game Cards are not compatible with Nintendo Switch systems sold worldwide.
But there is one thing we have learned today that makes both the same – the bitter agent of the Game Card. According to Twitter user @zhaochen0507, the Tencent China Game Card’s bitter agent tastes exactly the same as Game Cards sold worldwide.
Game Cards are coated with a bitter agent in order to prevent children from swallowing them by accident. The bitter agent was said to be the primary reason why New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe’s physical release was delayed in China.
