Today, Nintendo has published their fiscal results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2019.
Last year, Nintendo adjusted their Nintendo Switch hardware sales target for the fiscal year from 20 million to 17 million. Unfortunately they failed to meet their target as they only sold 16.95 million systems within the fiscal year. Still, not too bad given that it’s a difference of 50,000 consoles.
16.95 million consoles marks a 12.7% increase in sales from the previous fiscal year ending March 31, 2018.
As for software sales, Nintendo Switch software moved 118.55 million units in the last fiscal year, a 86.7% increase over the previous fiscal year. Lifetime software sales are now at 187.52 million units.
