Nintendo Switch Online Will Eventually Stop Receiving New NES/Famicom Games

Today we have a sad piece of news to report about the Nintendo Switch Online: Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)/Family Computer (Famicom) service that is currently available for Nintendo Switch Online members.

It appears that Nintendo will eventually stop adding new NES/Famicom games to the service after a “certain period of time”. This was found on a Nintendo Switch Online leaflet being distributed in Hong Kong this week.

This is the first time Nintendo has ever stated new games will not be added to the service in the future. We knew it was going to happen, but hopefully this fine print doesn’t mean it is going to happen sooner than expected.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
