Today we have a piece of good news for all Nintendo Switch owners and people who are against piracy.
Earlier this year, Nintendo dished out bans to Splatoon 2 cheaters, pirates, and hackers on Nintendo Switch. Previously, users banned by Nintendo were barred from playing online and accessing the Nintendo eShop.
Things have changed as all regular bans have been elevated to super bans. If you’re super banned, you are not allowed to access Nintendo’s content distribution network (CDN), making it impossible for super banned users to download firmware updates or re-download archived games on their Nintendo Switch, making their life very very hard.
Super bans have previously been handed out to hackers and dataminers who abused Nintendo’s CDN – so this is a very pretty big deal.
