Nintendo of Korea has announced they’ve sold over 55,000 Nintendo Switch consoles in South Korea in the system’s first three days of launch.
The Nintendo Switch officially launched on December 1, 2017, close to 9 months after the worldwide launch that took place on March 3. It’s a huge milestone for Nintendo of Korea as the Switch has not only beaten launch week sales of the DS, 3DS, and Wii, but the launch month sales of those three systems as well.
Given that the Wii is one of the only two video game consoles to break over 1 million units sold in South Korea, we could see the Switch doing the same if the momentum continues.
