Mario Kart 9 Seems To Support Up To 24 Players

The Nintendo Switch 2 reveal trailer gave us a first look at Mario Kart 9 (tentative name), the upcoming Mario Kart game for Nintendo Switch 2.

Footage from the trailer suggests that the game will support up to 24 concurrent players, a huge increase from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s 16 player limit:

A few other details were also gleaned from the trailer. The track showcased in the video is called “Mario Bros. Circuit”, which could be the first track of the Mushroom Cup. Tracks look wider and bigger to accommodate 24 racers. We’ll have to wait and see what other differences there are in the game in the Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 broadcast on April 2.
