Nintendo has announced they are officially establishing a Taiwan subsidiary for the company.

Previously, Nintendo’s businesses in Taiwan were managed under Nintendo Hong Kong’s umbrella. However, after April 2025, Nintendo’s Taiwan business will be transferred over to the newly established Nintendo Taiwan Co., Ltd. According to the official press release, this move is to “further strengthen Nintendo’s business foundation in the Taiwanese market and improve the quality of customer service”.

Presumably, fans living in Taiwan can expect to receive greater support from Nintendo, and possibly its own dedicated eShop for Switch or Switch 2. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
