Today, Nintendo published their financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2019.
In their latest report, Nintendo mentioned that they are now looking into adopting the mandatory International Financial Reporting Standards into their basic policies for financial accounting. No word has been made on the exact date they will adopt the standards as their employees are currently attending outside seminars to gather information and deliberate on the adoption of the standards.
International Financial Reporting Standards (via Wikipedia) is described as a “common global language for business affairs so that company accounts are understandable and comparable across international boundaries.”
