During the 79th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, an investor asked whether Nintendo had any plans to host events at Nintendo Tokyo, the first Nintendo store to open in Japan in late November 2019.
Senior director Satoru Shibata says Nintendo envisions Nintendo Tokyo as a place where customers could purchase Nintendo game consoles, games, accessories, and merchandise of Nintendo owned IP.
Besides as a place for Nintendo fans to purchase products, Shibata said the company wants Nintendo Tokyo to be a place where new information will be shared with customers. They also wish to host events similar to those at Nintendo NY, so you can probably expect launch events and Nintendo Direct streams at Nintendo Tokyo in the future.
