The Pokemon Company has announced the next expansion for the global version of the Pokemon Trading Card Game.
The expansion is called Obsidian Flames, and introduces the first Tera Pokemon EX, featuring Pokemon imbued with the power of Pokemon Scarlet And Violet’s Terastal phenomenon. The centerpiece of this set is a Charizard EX card with a Dark Tera Type. In full, the set will feature the following:
- Over 190 cards
- Type-shifted Tera Pokémon ex with a crystalline appearance, including a Darkness-type Charizard ex
- More than 20 brand-new Pokémon ex: a new take on a returning game mechanic
- More than 15 Trainer cards
- Dozens of Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations
The set is planned to release on August 11th 2023.
