Amid the accusations of plagiarism, fans of Palworld have started making Pokemon replacement mods for the monster taming survival crafting game.
What may be among the first of these mods is being worked on by @ToastedShoes, who posted a preview of it on social media. This mod looks to replace all of the game’s “Pals” with their closest Pokemon counterparts, creating a lot of amusing imagery such as Pikachu mining for ore and Pokemon protagonist Ash shooting at a Torterra with a bow and arrow.

[Update]: Shortly after the video was posted, Nintendo seems to have issued a takedown notice and had it removed. However, Toastedshoes has uploaded a full showcase of the mod to his Youtube channel as seen below, which is still up as of this writing. Due to the aforementioned takedown, the mod will not be released to the public for the time being.
