Pocketpair, the creators of the infamous Palworld, have announced a collaboration with Terraria.
The crossover was announced via the game’s official social media account, along with artwork depicting the player characters of both games clasping hands. No further details about what this collaboration will entail have been shared.
Although seemingly out of left field, Terraria and Palworld share a common connection by being indie games that are often compared against the bigger games they took inspiration from: Minecraft for Terraria and Pokemon for Palworld. Terraria is notably playable on the Nintendo Switch, and if the crossover involves in-game content, could lead to Palworld being on a Nintendo console for the first time.
That said, this news comes just as Pocketpair is in the middle of a legal battle against Nintendo, who is suing them for patent infringement. This seems to hint that Pocketpair isn’t particularly worried about the outcome of the suit, although it is still in the relatively early stages.
