Iron Gate Studios’ Viking-themed survival game Valheim is one of the most played games on Steam right now, having sold over 5 million copies in the month following its release. Its runaway success has had somewondering whether the game might make its way to consoles in the future, including the Nintendo Switch.
In an interview with Nintendolife about their upcoming port of Apex Legends to Switch, port specialists Panic Button were asked which “dream game” they would be interested in bringing to Switch next. In response, Head of Production Dan Hernberg said they would “love to” bring Valheim to Switch, although it was mostly because he too had become addicted to the title.
I’m not sure if this is my “any game pick” but, right now I’m playing way too much Valheim and I would love to port that to Switch.
Aside from Apex Legends, Panic Button was also responsible for bringing Doom Eternal, Warframe, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, and many other major titles to the Nintendo Switch. Should Valheim eventually be heading to the portable console, it will likely be in good hands if Panic Button is handling the move.
