Pearl Almost Had A Bigger Forehead In Splatoon 2

In the official Splatoon 2 artbook, there are many concept artwork and sketches of Off the Hook members Pearl and Marina.

One of the concept artwork that’s closer to Pearl and Marina’s final design shows Pearl was originally intended to have a larger forehead, while Marina wasn’t hiding her ears behind headphones. Here’s Twitter user and Splatoon fan @ChrisSzczesiul’s take on the official concept art:
