The Pokemon Company International has confirmed that its Pikachu and Eevee parade balloon will be making a return at this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Fans will be able to catch a glimpse when the parade passes through Manhattan on 23 November 2023.
Here’s more information from the official Pokemon website:
For the 23rd consecutive year, The Pokémon Company International will kick off the holidays with its return to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® on Thursday, Nov. 23, in New York City. Fans will be able to watch Pikachu and Eevee soar through Manhattan on a Poké Ball-inspired sled as it moves along the Parade route before arriving at Macy’s Herald Square.
“Pokémon has delighted fans as part of the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for over 20 years, and we’re honored to be back again in 2023, kicking off the holiday festivities at New York City’s most quintessential event of the season,” said Taito Okiura, vice president of marketing at The Pokémon Company International. “Parade-goers and viewers at home can look forward to ushering in the holiday season with Pokémon as Pikachu and Eevee float along the backdrop of Manhattan’s autumnal skies.”
