Earlier this morning, Nintendo announced the Nintendo Switch Pikachu & Eevee Edition, which includes a set of lovely Pikachu and Eevee Joy-Con and Joy-Con Straps.
One of the biggest questions people had about the bundle is whether or not the Pikachu and Eevee Joy-Con could be purchased separately. When the Nintendo Switch Super Mario Odyssey Set and Nintendo Switch Splatoon 2 Set were released worldwide last year, the only country to have the Mario Red Joy-Con and Neon Green/Neon Pink Joy-Con released at launch was Japan.
It appears, however, that the Pikachu and Eevee Joy-Con will not be available as a separate purchase in Japan, other parts of Asia, and the rest of the world – at least at launch. We’ve checked every single country with the Switch bundle announced, and so far none of them state that the Joy-Con won’t be sold separately so there’s still some hope in the future.
