Sensor Tower has shared some new data for Pikmin Bloom, Niantic’s AR mobile game based on the Pikmin series that was released last year.
According to Sensor Tower’s data (as shared by mobilegamer.biz), Pikmin Bloom earned around $5.3 million in its first 6 months online. Although this sounds like a large number, these earnings are more modest compared to Nintendo’s other mobile games, with titles like Dragalia Lost and Fire Emblem Heroes earning far more in their first months alone. That said, this could be due to Pikmin Bloom having less aggressive monetization tactics compared to those games.
Of course, these figures seem even less significant compared to Niantic’s other Nintendo mobile game Pokemon GO, which grabbed $832.5 million in the same time period compared to Pikmin Bloom. Hopefully, this will not discourage the developer from continuing to support Pikmin Bloom moving forward. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
