Players Shocked By Nintendo 3DS Protective Case That Disintegrated Into “Breadcrumbs”

A photo of an officially licensed HORI Dragon Quest VIII TPU case for New Nintendo 3DS XL has went viral on the internet.

The photo, shared by Randolph Co, shows a TPU case that disintegrated into “breadcrumbs” after years of storage. TPU cases are made of biodegradable materials that last for three to five years, and after the long passage of time, the case degraded into something completely unrecognizable inside its original packaging:

For reference, here’s how the case originally looked like:

Nintendo fans and players who saw the post were shocked at how the accessory disintegrated into nothing, with many in disbelief that such a thing could even happen.

The owner of the case reminded everyone to check their collections once in awhile to ensure that they didn’t disintegrate, and it’s probably best to avoid accessories that are made of biodegradable materials if one is keeping them in storage for a long time.
