A few hours ago, we shared with you how much The Pokemon Company made for the fiscal year ending February 28, 2019.
While The Pokemon Company saw an increase in net profits by up to 50%, Pokemon Center, a wholly owned subsidiary, made 112,000,000 yen (USD1.03 million) in the fiscal year of 2018, a 9.8% increase over the net profits in the 2017 fiscal year ending February 28, 2018.
As you can tell the Pokemon Center locations aren’t making a lot of money compared to The Pokemon Company itself. We speculate the reason is because The Pokemon Company sells merchandise they produced to Pokemon Center at a higher cost.
