Pokemon Devs Share What Type Of Pokemon Gyms They Would Run

Running their own Pokemon Gym is something many Pokemon fans young and old have likely thought about at some point or another, perhaps even more so now that they are making their return to the series in Pokemon Sword & Shield,

It seems that this fantasy doesn’t just apply to Pokemon fans alone, but to its developers as well. Speaking to Kotaku at E3, Gamefreak’s Junichi Masuda and Shigeru Ohmori talked about the kind of Pokemon Gyms they would run if given the chance:

Masuda: “Probably Electric type for me. This goes back to my musical inclinations. It would have a lot of synthesizer work. It would probably be a really electrifying gym with tons and tons of lights, like a Christmas tree type of light.”

Ohmori: “I’m not good with heat, so probably an Ice type gym for me. A very well air-conditioned gym. I’ve been to a lot of hot places recently, so I just want a place to chill out.”
