A week ahead of its official release, Pokémon Legends: Arceus is now available for pre-load on the Switch eshop.
Players who pre-ordered a digital copy of the game can now pre-load it via the Switch eshop, which will allow them to play the game immediately once it launches officially on January 28th 2022. As reported by Serebii, the pre-load will require 6 GB of space. In comparison, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl had a pre-load size of 6.7 GB, while Pokemon Sword/Shield had an initial pre-load size of 9.5 GB.
The size of the game could become a little bigger upon release, depending on whether it will be receiving a Day One patch. We will be sure to report back on any updates as they come.
