Pokemon Legends Arceus Sales Hit 6.5 Million Worldwide Within First Week

One week after the game’s initial launch, Nintendo has revealed the first global sales figures for Pokemon Legends Arceus.

As announced on Twitter, the newest entry in the mainline Pokemon series sold 6.5 Million units worldwide within its first week. This is half a million more than the global launch week sales of Pokemon Sword/Shield and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, with both sets of games bagging 6 million sales each. Likewise, this is more than double of Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee‘s launch week sales.

All in all, in spite some initial skepticism, Pokemon Legends Arceus seems well on its way to becoming yet another major success for The Pokemon Company and Game Freak. It will be interesting to see if this leads to more Pokemon Legends games in the future.
