Earlier this year, Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser officially announced that he would be retiring from his position at the company at the end of 2025. Now, that day has finally arrived.
As part of his departure from the gaming giant, Doug Bowser shared a brief farewell message on social media – which features Bowser, the titular nemesis of Mario that Doug Bowser shares his surname with. Here it is below:
As share previously, Doug Bowser will be succeeded as President by Devon Pritchard, a 19-year veteran of the videogame industry and a long-standing member of NOA’s leadership team. Satoru Shibata, another member of Nintendo’s main leadership, will also be coming over as the Chief Executive Officer in addition to his current role as Managing Executive Officer and Corporate Director, Member of the Board at Nintendo Co., Ltd. (NCL). Pritchard will also join the NoA Board Of Directors and become NCL Executive Officer.
