The Pokemon Company has shared some interesting new information about the Pokemon Scarlet And Violet DLC.

According to an official news post, the DLC will introduce a Nineteenth Tera Type to the game, or in other words, the closest thing to a brand new Pokemon type since Pokemon X and Y’s introduction of Fairy-Type ten years ago. Any Pokemon can obtain this new Tera Type, which they will transform into once Terastalized. At the time of this writing, the exact method to obtain it is not known.

A Nineteenth Tera Type Has Been Discovered!

The Terastal phenomenon first appeared in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, and it grants Pokémon special power while also making them sparkle like brilliant jewels. It plays an important role in battles. Terastallizing your Pokémon opens up a new world of strategy since it allows you to change your Pokémon’s type to its Tera Type, which can increase the power of moves with the same type or change your Pokémon’s weaknesses.

And now, in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero for Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet, a new Tera Type has been discovered—a nineteenth Tera Type.

Something about it seems different from the eighteen Tera Types we’ve seen before, but much is yet unknown. What is the truth behind this nineteenth Tera Type?
