Earlier today, the Crown Tundra DLC for Pokemon Sword And Shield was released, allowing players to encounter many past legendaries through the Dynamax Adventures feature.
Since then, players have discovered a very useful feature of Dynamax Adventures. Once players have encountered a particular Legendary Pokemon at the end of a Dynamax Adventure, they will be able to set out and re-challenge that Legendary Pokemon by selecting it from a list when starting an adventure.
Of course, this feature will only be accessible if you did not catch the Legendary Pokemon after your first encounter, since only one of each Legendary can be caught per game.

As stated in the above post, this feature will be quite useful for Shiny Hunting without having to rely on RNG to encounter the desired Legendary Pokemon.
