Earlier this year, The Pokemon Company released the long awaited trading feature for Pokemon TCG Pocket, which quickly sparked backlash from players for being difficult and inconvenient to use.
Now, The Pokemon Company has announced they will be making major changes to the system after taking feedback from players. The changes include the removal of the heavily criticized Trade Token currency, with players instead using the existing Shinedust currency instead. Players will also be able to share which cards they wish to trade with others beforehand. The changes will come in an update planned for Autumn 2025.
Both these adjustments address the core criticisms players had about the trading system, although it remains to be seen how well they will ultimately be received. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
