Pokemon Trademark “Pikamimi” Registered In Japan

Nintendo, Creatures Inc., and Game Freak, the owners of the Pokemon brand, have registered a new trademark for “Pikamimi” in Japan.

As stated, the trademark is for the term “ピカみみ” (Pikamimi) which roughly translates to “Pika Ears”. For those who may not be aware, Pikamimi is a line of Pokemon merch in Japan which prominently feature Pikachu Ears, much like the hooded T-Shirt in the above image. Fittingly, the trademark applies to “goods and services”.
