PSA: Switch Battery May Become Impossible To Charge If Left Uncharged For Too Long

Nintendo has issued an important PSA about the dangers of leaving the Switch uncharged for too long.

According to their post on Twitter, a Switch console that has been left uncharged for too long may eventually become impossible to charge, which would essentially brick the console and make it unplayable. To avoid this, Nintendo recommends charging the Switch once every six months at a minimum, which will reduce the possibility of the console’s lithium-ion batteries becoming impossible to charge.

Of course, players who are using their console regularly are unlikely to run into this issue, but its good to be aware of the risks nonetheless.
