Rainway, an app that promised streaming PC games to Nintendo Switch, angered many Nintendo Switch fans in the community after it was launched on other platforms first, and little was said about the development of the Switch version.
Today, Rainway CEO Andrew Sampson spoke to Nintendo Life about the future of Rainway. Sampson said they now only discuss about things that are currently in active development and close to release, which explains their silence on the Switch version.
In the first Rainway trailer, the Nintendo Switch was prominently featured, which gave people the impression Rainway was confirmed for Nintendo Switch. Sampson commented that he could have “done a better job” to avoid that confusion.
At this time, it appears that the chances of Rainway releasing on Nintendo Switch is reducing day by day. We speculate Nintendo is not willing to allow the app on the Switch.
