Yesterday, Digital Eclipse revealed that Disney Classic Games: Aladdin And The Lion King would be heading to Switch. The collection bundles together several versions of the two classics in one premium package…or at least, what seems like a premium package on the surface.
Some fans have noticed an interesting error on the Switch box art of the game in its debut trailer. Namely, there’s a unintentionally hilarious misspelling on the spine. Instead of ‘Lion King’, that spine text states ‘Loin King‘!
What’s equally bizarre is that this error only appears on the Switch spine – as the PS4 and Xbox One spines look 100% okay. It’s not clear if this mistake was due to outdated Switch assets, or if someone really messed up while designing the Switch cover altogether!
Anyway, here’s hoping that this error isn’t actually heading to the printers for the actual physical release. Otherwise, many fans will be playing The Loin King for the first time ever!
Disney Classic Games: Aladdin And The Lion King will be launching for Nintendo Switch in Fall 2019. We’ll report back when we hear more about the retro collection.
