A few weeks back, we spotlighted one fan’s mock-up of what Pokemon games inspired by Australia could look like – with its own starters and expansive dex already laid out lovingly. Well, other fans are now in on the trend of creating their own regions, and this next one is just plain bizarre.
Twitter user @eisorus recently showed off their own affectionate parody of a Pokemon region, based on none other than the Spongebob Squarepants cartoon series. The fan-titles, Pokemon Bikini and Pokemon Bottom, are a play on Spongebob’s home ‘Bikini Bottom’ from the cartoon. @eisorus even proposes some parody Pokemon based on the cartoon’s main cast – which you can check out below:
It’s certainly more tongue-in-cheek than the Australian mock-up from last time, but no less entertaining to think about! All in all, we can’t wait to see fans adapt more cartoon series or maybe even Nintendo franchises into Pokemon fan-titles as well!
