Earlier, Nintendo unleashed a new trailer for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, which finally revealed that “Bowser’s Fury” would feature a giant fiery Bowser that towers over Mario. While many have taken a shine to this new form of the Koopa King, others have also decided to poke a little fun at how similar Bowser looks to another game mechanic from the Pokemon franchise…
Namely, some folks have now taken to calling this giant version of Bowser “Dynamax Bowser” or “Gigantamax Bowser” – thanks to its similarities to Pokemon Sword/Shield‘s Dynamax/Gigantamax mechanic which super-sizes Pokemon too! As seen in the swell edits by fans below, Bowser doesn’t look that out-of-place in a Pokemon setting anymore!
Others even completely redrew the scene of giant Bowser as a Pokemon battle scene:
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury certainly seems to be generating some buzz right now, especially with this new form of Bowser! The game will officially hit Nintendo Switch across the globe on 12 February 2021.
