Several weeks following the game’s release, players have discovered an interesting glitch in Pokemon Legends Arceus which allows them to clone certain shiny Pokemon.
As documented by players such as Twitter user Kqttling and Youtuber PhillyBeatzU this glitch only works for Pokemon that can be encountered from shaking rocks, trees, or crates. If a Pokemon encountered from these resources turn out to be Shiny, players can catch the Shiny, leave the area, and cause it to respawn again from that same shaking rock, tree, or crate by following these steps:
- Find a cave or a separate area
- Find a shiny in the overworld, which has to be inside a box, rock, or tree
- Catch the shiny
- Go to the cave
- Wait at least 30 minutes in real time
- Leave the cave, and go to where the shiny was
- If the shiny isn’t there, return to the cave and wait a couple of minutes before checking again
DO NOT:
- Leave the area
- Wait outside the cave
- Complete any quests
Of course, given that this method requires the player to find a Shiny out in the wild, likely without the aid of a Mass Outbreak, getting the process started may prove difficult for many players, not to mention the 30 minute wait time. Nevertheless, players who are lucky enough to encounter that first shiny might find this glitch useful to get duplicates, provided it doesn’t get patched out in the near future.
