For better or worse, Pokemon Scarlet And Violet have risen into infamy for having many strange bugs and glitches, some of which are very serious, while others are quite hilarious.
Falling into the latter category is a new glitch that has become popular on Japanese social media. Found under the Twitter hashtag “#サンドイッチ爆発学” (sandwich explosions), this glitch allows players to ascend into outer space by making sandwiches at specific locations. The crux of this glitch seems to be finding a place where you can set up your picnic table such that it clips through a building, preferably somewhere high up in Paldea. A popular spot is West Province (Area One) where the windmills are located.
Once the picnic spot is set up, players simply have to drop chorizo sausages “into” the clipped building, which will mysteriously propel the player into the sky in short “explosions”. Interestingly, players can ascend to such heights that can leave the region behind entirely and into outer space, where we can arguably get our first glimpse at the full world of Pokemon.
Check out some clips below:
Although seemingly harmless, attempting this can unsurprisingly cause the game to crash, so we would not recommend it. Whether or not this glitch will be among the ones fixed in the upcoming patch remains to be seen.
