By now, Pokemon fans should be no stranger to the many counterfeit Pokemon games that have popped up on mobile phones and flash sites, especially with the series’ global popularity. Well, another blatant rip-off has bounced onto the scene once again – except this time, it popped up on an unlikely platform!
The bootleg game in question is titled “Capsmon Adventure: Brave Heroes Assemble” – which is actually available on the Microsoft Store, of all places! Its publisher is listed vaguely as ‘ANIME GAMES’, which should probably set off alarm bells for most Pokemon fans who come across the shameless rip-off.
As you can see, the game even uses plenty of stolen assets from both official sources and fan-art:
For now, it’s not clear if Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, or Microsoft will be taking any action against this unauthorized bootleg. We’ll report back if we hear more in the future.
